Not KEYper Key Fobs
These fobs were absolutely not designed at the request of someone who uses a KEYper key cabinet. Any resemblance to the unnecessarily expensive OEM fobs, and any suspicious compatibility with such a cabinet is purely coincidental. They are, however, significantly cheaper to print, particularly if you source inexpensive iButton tags.
It took several entirely unrelated iterations to produce a printable tag that just happens to fit perfectly in a certain unnamed key cabinet. The design needed to be durable, reasonably easy to print, and capable of performing its wholly generic, non-KEYper-specific duties. They could probably be optimized further, but they work well enough that I haven’t revisited them.
The iButtons can be pressed in by hand, although a trigger-style clamp works best. Just be careful not to crush the iButton while installing it.
There are two versions linked below: a Bambu Studio project and a generic 3MF file. Use whichever one suits you.
Recommended print settings are a 0.24 mm draft layer height, four wall loops, and PLA. The fobs do occasionally break - typically at the ear - but through another remarkable coincidence, so do the OEM ones they definitely weren’t designed to replace.
