Shop Improvements Part 4 - Alexa Controlled Shop | [0035-4] 🤖

This is the 4th and final installment of the Shop Improvements series.

This is not a how to, or super detailed video. Because of time constraints, and wanting to “just get it done” I didn’t shoot a lot (nearly none) of footage as I went along.

So, in this video I simply show, demonstrate, and discuss the last major improvements I made to the shop, including Alexa (Echo) voice control of the shop lighting and air compressor.

I also talk about the last bit of shop electrical, air conditioning and heating (HVAC) and getting the barn doors sealed up.

There’s a lot covered in this video, I’ve attempted to be as informative as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Schematic and code for the ESP8266 is available on GitHub.

My 3D printable LED panel bracket is available on Thingiverse.

Be sure to check out I Like To Make Stuff (inspired my light brackets).

Here are the lights I used.

My ductless mini-split.

The air compressor tubing I used.
